Two young women, believed to be from Taiwan, were confirmed dead in hospital after they were found fatally stabbed in their necks at an apartment in Tokyo Thursday morning, local media reported.

The women, both in their 20s, were reported to be students of a Japanese-language school. They were supposed to show up at 9:30 a. m. when two young men, from the same school, were waiting for one of them at the apartment building's front gate.

The two men, also from Taiwan, contacted the language school's teachers, who entered the women's apartment with a duplicate key and found the them collapsed there, Kyodo News reported.

Local police said they are conducting investigation into the case.
