One person was killed and about 20 others injured when a passenger coach slammed into a truck Monday afternoon in Guizhou province, according to local authorities.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. on a road connecting the cities of Guiyang and Bijie in Qianxi county of Bijie city, a government official in Bijie said.

Six passengers were seriously injured, and all the injured have been rushed to hospital.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
