In China, the number of applications for internships is continuously rising. It is common knowledge for students that work experience is extremely important in competitive job markets.

Absolute Internship, a company that helps college students to find internships, will arrange for 700 interns to go to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, which represents an increase of 550 compared to last year.

CRCC Asia will send 2,000 students to Beijing and Shanghai, which represents an increase of 800 compared to last year.

The internships are not paid. Students must cover their one to three months’ expenses themselves, or US $2,900 to US $4,900 USD to get the opportunity.

The head of CRT, a market research company in Shanghai, noticed that foreign interns actively asked questions and for feedback during training. He added that it was quite different from local students, who silently took notes.
