The girl, nicknamed "Sugarcane Xishi," stands at 1.75 m tall and is good-looking with the most beautiful long hair. Xishi was considered one of the four most beautiful women in China's history. This particular sugarcane girl is currently a student of the Shanghai Theatre Academy.

When her photos appeared online, she became popular overnight. Some customers even drove in from miles away just to buy a cup of her sugarcane juice.

Reactions about her newfound fame have been mixed. Some have criticized that her selling sugarcane juice on the street was nothing more than a sheer publicity stunt.

Nevertheless, the girl's mother refuted the criticism. "Every winter holiday, my daughter will come home to help the family sell sugarcane juice. Business is quite good during the Spring Festival. This is absolutely no publicity stunt. We just want to lead an ordinary life. "
