Kazakhstan fighter jet makes forced landing

A squadron of Kazakhstan military planes made a forced landing at an airport in Yinchuan, capital city of northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on Sunday, chinamil.com.cn reports.

A Kazakhstan SU-27 jet fighter suffered mechanical failure when it finished partaking in the Peace Mission - 2014 military drill in China on Saturday.,

The fighter made an emergency landing at the Yinchuan Hedong International Airportalong with the rest of the jet's squad.

The other four fully-functioning planes in the squadron have flown back to Kazakhstan, while the faulty plane is currently undergoing repairs in Yinchuan. The jet will return to its native country once it can properly fly again.
