The Finals of 5th Beijing International Mountain Walking Festival sets off in Zhaitang Town of Mentougou District in West Beijing on Saturday, Sept. 20. 15,000 walkers from 40 countries and regions participated in this 2-day long-distance mountain trekking event.

Saturday's activities include the 100 km Challenge Competition, 30 km Ecological route and 20 km Ancient Temple route. Yun Yanqiao won the men's team's championship of the 100 km Challenge with a score of 6 hours 44 minutes, 11 minutes shorter than the previous year's record. Shan Ying won the title of women's team's championship with a score of 9 hours 2 minutes.

Sunday's events include the 20 km Reservoir route and 10 km Red Army route. Cuandixia Village, Huangcaoliang scenic area and other famous ancient villages, historical sites and scenic spots of Mentougou Distric are located on the five routes.
