9 injured in China supermarket attack

Nine were injured after a man wielding a knife attacked a supermarket in Nanning, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on Thursday.

The injured have been hospitalized.

The 26-year-old assailant is now in police custody.

According to reports from CCTV, the suspect surnamed Zhou had a dispute with supermarket staff after he found the price of items he had paid for were different from the price tag.

Zhou then pulled out a knife and attacked staff members and customers in the supermarket.

Further investigation is now underway.
