Two people were killed when an aircraft crashed in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, local authorities confirmed on Monday.

The training plane with the Air Force had two on board when it crashed at 3:44 p.m. on the outskirts of the Weinan city, according to rescuers. One of the pilots were pronounced dead on the spot, while the other died in hospital.

Cause of the accident is being investigated.
