11 live crocodiles surprised mail workers at a logistics center in Suqian, Jiangsu province, xdkb.net reported on Sunday.

Some faint sounds made by the little creatures issuing from two large boxes startled the delivery man when he was sorting the parcels, and he called the policeman at once.

The policeman rushed to the site and opened the boxes after getting permission from the man who sent the parcels.

They discovered 11 baby crocodiles, each around 20 centimeters in length, each contained in a transparent meal box.

The police confiscated the crocodiles immediately as it is illegal to send living things by post.

The man confessed to the police that he wanted to open a crocodile farm, so he bought these Siamese crocodiles from an online shop as an experiment to see if he could keep them.

According to the report, the crocodiles have been sent to the local zoo, and the man will be punished according to the law.
