Drone grounds flights at southwest China airport

A drone above an airport in southwest China's Sichuan Province grounded flights on Saturday.

The unmanned aerial vehicle, spotted at 6:20 p.m. above Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, caused the eastern runway to halt operation, leaving 55 flights delayed, according to airport staff.

It is the first time that a drone grounded flights at the airport. The runway resumed operation at 7:40 p.m.
