A quake, measured as a magnitude 4.3, hit around quarter-past-10 this morning about 30 kilometers west of the city, which is about 100-kilometers north of Sichuan's capital, Chengdu.

While relatively small, the quake hit at a shallow depth of just 10-kilometers, which amplified the shaking.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries.

However, the quake did cause transportation disruptions, with local railway officials stopping a number of passenger and freight trains in the region while they checked the tracks for damage.
