Police investigate into lost girl in south China

A little girl that went missing in Liancheng, Fujian province was found on the mountain near high voltage tower six kilometers away from home, five days after getting lost, according to Xinhua report on September 25, 2016.

The girl's family members are confused about the circumstances of their daughter's disappearance and the police are conducting an investigation.

The whole town joined in searching for the lost girl

A journalist contacted the father of the girl on September 24th, and learned that she lived with her grandparents in Liancheng, Fujian province. At around 6:30am of September 11, 2016, the girl disappeared while playing on the road and her family called the police.

After the girl disappeared, her father posted information to social media platforms and many people in town volunteered to help look for the girl. Despite a concerted and concentrated effort the girl was not found.

Lost girl found by workers five days later

The parents of the girl continued their search and, at around 10:00am on September 16, there was a call saying that the girl was found. Five maintenance workers men found the girl on the mountain, near a high voltage tower and brought her back home." said the father.

How did the little girl end up on the mountain, six kilometers away from home? The police are looking into the case.
