Police in the city of Nanchang in eastern China's Jiangxi Province said Thursday that they had seized 94 kilograms of methamphetamine, detaining seven suspects.

In May 2016, local police received a report that drug dealers in Nanchang had been traveling to Myanmar via Yunnan Province, buying methamphetamine and magu, a stimulant composed of methamphetamine and caffeine, and selling it on their return to Nanchang.

On July 25, 2017, police arrested two drug dealers transporting drugs, seizing their drugs and vehicle. Four more suspects were seized in Xin'gan county later the same day. A further suspect was captured in Yunnan Province in October .

More than 10 drug users were caught at the same time.

Further investigation is ongoing.
