Association founded to help develop Xiongan New Area

The Beijing Supports Xiongan New Area Development Association, guided by the Beijing Municipal Government, was established in Xiongxian County, north China's Hebei Province, on Jan. 13.
The association, launched by hundreds of State-owned enterprises (SOEs), centrally administered SOEs, private enterprises, investment institutions, and innovative enterprises from Beijing and across the country, aims to tap into Beijing's industrial resources to support the building of Xiongan New Area.
According to the Social Work Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Beijing Municipal Committee, the association will play an important role as the bridge of communication between the government and enterprises, thereby resolving a number of practical problems.
The establishment of the association provides a platform for companies in Beijing and Xiongan to strengthen cooperation and industrial integration. Xiongan New Area, by leveraging resources in Beijing and deepening the integration, is expected to be built into a world-class, green, modern and smart city, officials said.
