The 5th Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), organized by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing municipal government, will be held at the China National Convention Center from May 28 to June 1.

With 50,000 square meters of exhibition space, the fair aims at further expanding the service industry as well as deepening exchange and cooperation in international service trade. It will include a summit meeting on global service trade and more than 10 professional forums. More than 100 negotiation and trade fairs will also take place.

With the theme of "Opening up, Innovation, Integration," this year's CIFTIS will focus on services in science and technology, the internet and information, culture and education, financing, commerce and tourism, and health and medicine. The fair will promote participation in the Belt and Road Initiative, and aim to push forward cooperation and development in international service trade.

The CIFTIS will begin with the summit meeting, focusing on the development trends of the global service trade and relevant hot topics. Discussions and exchanges centered on development and cooperation of the international service trade will be held in the professional forums. In addition, the fair will host meetings covering e-commerce, express delivery, sports service and Traditional Chinese Medicine service. Government authorities are also expected to announce policies and standards and issue development reports, including the official release of the first report on China's service trade.
