Police uncover cross-border porn live streaming gang

A cross-border porn live streaming gang was uncovered by police in southwest China's Yunnan Province, with 185 arrested in China and the Philippines.
The Yunnan Bureau of Public Security on Wednesday confirmed that the gang used an Internet server in the Philippines to establish two porn live stream platforms in the country and recruited performers and managers in China.
The gang profiteered over 100 million yuan (14.5 million U.S. dollars) from the videos and online performances, which reached 31 provincial-level regions in China, according to the police investigation.
Police said they had spent eight months on the case, chasing the gang's members in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Fujian, Guizhou and Sichuan. They have intercepted 350 porn video clips and seized the gang's equipment of 45 phones and 25 computers.
With the cooperation of Filipino police, police from Yunnan went to the Philippines in August to arrest 17 of the suspects including the gang's leader surnamed Yin.
