Former senior food, drug regulator expelled from CPC

Wu Zhen, former deputy director of China Food and Drug Administration, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China over serious violations of discipline and laws, abusing power and taking bribes.

Wu's expulsion from the CPC has been approved by the CPC Central Committee, according to a statement by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission on Saturday.
