Passenger traffic of Hong Kong cross-border rail link, bridge hits record high

Both West Kowloon Station of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge saw a record high passenger traffic for two successive two days, data showed on Friday.

According to the data released by the Immigration Department of the government of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, more than 1.1 million visitor arrivals and departures were recorded on Thursday.

The West Kowloon Station saw its busiest day since its operation in September 2018 as more than 100,000 arrivals and departures were recorded at the station on Thursday.

Around 159,000 arrivals and departures through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge were recorded in Hong Kong on Thursday, reaching a record high.
