With the sub-high pressure gas regulating station ready for use, Beijing Daxing International Airport is now capable of receiving and delivering gas, securing the power supply for the operation of the airport.
The project, dubbed the airport's "energy hub," covers an area of 6,603 square meters, with a total construction area of 2,047 square meters. It is the only gas pressure regulating project in the airport, bearing the responsibility to transfer gas resources.
When completed, the Beijing Daxing International Airport will add 700,000 square meters of airport terminals, four runways, and 268 parking aprons to the city of Beijing, largely boosting the passenger throughput and international competitiveness of China's hub airports by providing more international flights.
Going forward, the airport will build another seven runways and 1.4 million square meters of terminals, aiming to handle 100 million passengers and 800,000 landings and take-offs each year.
