Four agreements were signed on Thursday at the sub-national cooperation thematic forum of the ongoing second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF).

At the signing ceremony, the World Tourism Cities Federation, the first international tourism organization that is headquartered in Beijing, signed an agreement with West Africa Tourism Organization. The two sides agreed to promote a mechanism for win-win cooperation among tourism destinations along the Belt and Road and establish a platform for non-governmental cooperation between China and Africa.

The Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council agreed to give play to their special status and functions in encouraging enterprises of the two cities to participate in the Belt and Road construction.

Tus-Holdings signed a contract with the Russia-China Investment Fund. The two parties agreed to jointly establish a venture capital fund for high-tech development.

BAIC Group signed a contract with Chia Tai Group of Thailand to set up a joint manufacturing company. The two parties agreed to develop the company to become Foton Motor's regional operation center in ASEAN.

The thematic forum on sub-national cooperation is one of the 12 thematic forums of the second BRF. It is organized by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, and has the theme of "Deepening Sub-national Cooperation and Sharing Economic Gains." It is aimed at building a trusted platform, an innovative mechanism, and a new pathway for sub-national cooperation with Beijing characteristics, thus contributing to the drive of building a Belt and Road that features peace, prosperity, openness, inclusiveness, and courtesy.
