Luo Yude, head of the Luohu district government, presided over a working conference on the construction of the Hongling innovative financial industrial belt on May 29.

At the conference, builders reported on the progress of the project and their plans and key tasks for this year to Luo and other senior officials from the Luohu district government, including Fan Defan, Wen Zhong and Li You.

All the relevant officials and parties should raise their level of understanding of the Hongling belt, Luo said, and should plan actively to advance the innovative financial industrial project.

Luo additionally directed the district government to revitalize the district's financial sector as a means to boost its core competitiveness, as well as to play up the financial industry's role in stabilizing the economy and supporting Luohu's future development.

In order to achieve these aims, Luo suggested, all relevant departments need to orient their work in a clear direction and think carefully about the financial industrial belt's contents and layout on the foundation of the current plan. In this way, the project can further improve the industry's ability to serve the real economy, and transform the industrial belt into a major part of the city's financial industry landscape.

Luo concluded that the involved departments must take the initiative to assume their duties in the process, and cooperate with each other to accelerate the construction of the industrial belt in an effort to advance the larger economic goals for the district.
