Since its opening on April 29, Expo 2019 Beijing has staged more than 600 activities, attracting 1.82 million visitors. Organizers of the expo are planning to hold a China Pavilion Day on June 6, which will include the theatrical performance "Splendid China" and a flower show.

Ye Dahua, director of the China Pavilion and deputy director of the Beijing World Horticultural Expo Coordination Bureau, said the exhibition in the China Pavilion will be presented by means of physical exhibition and scene reproduction. It will combine traditional gardening and digital new media, giving an all-around and multi-faceted display of the concept, achievements, regional characteristics, and world influence of China's ecological civilization construction.

The exhibition will divide into four areas: China eco-cultural exhibition area, the horticultural exhibition area showcasing the achievements in different provinces and autonomous regions of China, the research results exhibition area of Chinese horticultural universities and research institutes, and the exhibition area of Chinese intangible cultural heritage flower arrangement.

The four exhibition areas will demonstrate the development of the horticultural industry, the sci-tech innovations and high-tech achievements in various provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, the world's leading technology in green development, China's original horticultural sci-tech achievements, traditional Chinese flower arrangements, and inheritances and innovations of the Chinese traditional culture.

A spotlight of the China eco-cultural exhibition area is on the basement level of the China Pavilion, which is divided into six parts: harmony, all-season sceneries, landscape, spring rivers, cozy residences, and mutualistic symbiosis respectively. The exhibition aims to present the concept of China's ecological culture.

Yu Jianlong, a top government representative of the China Pavilion and secretary-general of the China Chamber of International Commerce, said that the horticultural exhibition in Beijing has went smoothly as planned, and a colorful mix of activities and shows has served as a feast for visitors' eyes, bringing an unprecedented experience to all.

At the 165th General Assembly of the International Exhibition Bureau hosted in Paris on April 28, China's delegates addressed the organization's officials and representatives of member states on the state of the exhibition, and received high remarks for the professionalism and efficiency demonstrated during the run-up to the exhibition.

The host country as well as other participating countries and international organizations, according to prevailing international practices, will hold festive activities to observe the anniversary of their pavilions or to honor a historic day, in a bid to give a vivid presentation of their natural charm and cultures and showcase their achievements made in horticulture and environmental preservation.
