A launch ceremony for the rural revitalization-themed publicity campaign in Shaanxi Province was held in Fufeng County, Baoji City, on June 18, along with a dialogue meeting based on the same theme.

Themed "Pursuing the rural revitalization strategy and making the voice of Shaanxi heard around the world," the campaign attracted participants from 30 mainstream media organizations across the country.

A team of journalists will visit Fufeng and Fengxiang counties, Chencang District and other areas in the province to report on how the rural revitalization strategy is being implemented and to witness the hard work of locals who are building a new countryside.

The campaign was jointly sponsored by the Shaanxi Provincial Office of Cyberspace Affairs Commission, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Shaanxi Province, and China.org.cn. It was jointly organized by the CPC Fufeng County Committee, the Fufeng County People's Government, and China.org.cn.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The publicity campaign aims to showcase the historic achievements Shaanxi has made in agricultural and rural development in the past seven decades, in particular since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012.

Through the campaign, Shaanxi Province will be able to share stories to a wider audience about the local governments' efforts to resolve issues relating to agriculture, rural areas and farmers.

The publicity campaign will last till December.
