Beijing Daxing International Airport Expressway and the central section of Daxing Airport North Line Expressway, key transportation projects on the outskirts of Beijing, officially opened to traffic at midday on July 1. The toll fees on both expressways are 0.5 yuan per kilometer and 10 yuan for the whole journey, according to Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport.

Given that Beijing Daxing International Airport remains closed until September, only the area between the South Fifth Ring Road and the central section of the Daxing Airport North Line Expressway are open to traffic at this time. The unopened section, which continues to the airport terminals, will be put into operation with the opening of the airport, before which it will only be open to vehicles assisting airport operations.

Vehicles are charged 0.5 yuan per kilometer on both newly-opened expressways, the same charging standard as on other expressways in Beijing. For cars with seven or fewer seats, the minimally required toll and that to cover the whole distance is 5 yuan and 10 yuan on both expressways. Along with the Beijing-Kaifeng Expressway and the Beijing-Taipei Expressway, the operation of the Beijing Daxing International Airport Expressway and the central section of Daxing Airport North Line Expressway marks the full operation of the supporting transportation network for the new airport.
