The Luohu tennis stadium opened recently. Covering an area of more than 20,000 square meters, the three-story stadium has seven indoor tennis courts, three outdoor tennis courts as well as eight tennis courts for children.

There are also shower rooms, restrooms, and 182 parking spaces in the building.

The stadium is located to the northwest of the Luohu Sports Center, neighboring East Lake Park.

The Luohu tennis center now boasts a tennis stadium, along with the original 12 outdoor tennis courts, a main court, which has 600 seats, and a five-story tennis club. It has become one of the largest urban tennis centers in Shenzhen.

According to the Luohu Sports Administration, the tennis stadium stems from a joint effort by the district government, the district legislature and political advisory body, and the public in general; the tennis stadium is expected to meet the residents' rising demands for quality public sports facilities and attract more young people to play the sport.

In its shanty town renovation projects, the Luohu government stipulates that every sub-district should have a comprehensive cultural and sports service center of no less than 1,500 square meters, and each residential community should have such a center not smaller than 200 square meters.

Now Luohu has a total of 297 keep-fit walking paths and 89 cultural and sports squares.

The district has accelerated the construction of a comprehensive training center and a sports and leisure park. In addition, the upgrading of Luohu's cultural center, library, and youth activity center have been accelerated.
