The Luohu government has made unswerving efforts in recent years to improve the natural and living environment of the district, which has brought tangible changes to the infrastructures and public services of the district.

The government hopes the district, where two national development strategies overlap — to build Shenzhen into a pilot demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics and to construct the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, can take the opportunities to make thorough use of policies to improve not only the district's core competitiveness but also the people's livelihoods.

The government aims to enhance the efficiency and quality of its environmental protection and sanitation work, using internet-of-things technology and big data analysis technology to realize overall process quantitative supervision and centralized management.

By the end of December 2018, Luohu had upgraded 36 toilets of residential communities, and by the end of June this year, Luohu has upgraded 27 public toilets funded by the government.

The 7.07-kilometer-long Taojin Hill footpath will be opened soon, providing another ideal choice for residents’ leisure activities.

The government also upgraded the environment along the seven main roads in its jurisdiction over the past year, which not only improved their traffic handling capacity but also enhanced the sceneries near them.

In the first half of this year, the government finished the transformation projects of the Wenjindu community park, Jinbi Garden Plaza, and is now working on the renovation projects of 24 gardens, including the garden of the Hongchang Plaza, Caopu community park and garden of Ditian Street.

The government has also been trying its best to regulate outdoor advertisements in the main streets and improve the sceneries along the main roads in the district, which are expected to be finished by September 2020.
