Luohu has launched an evaluation of its business environment, the first self-evaluation of its kind by a local government in China, in order to identify shortcomings and take targeted measures for improvement.
The evaluation system of Luohu is designed and using that of the World Bank as the benchmark.
The district government has proposed 18 measures and 22 tasks for the work of various departments related to the optimization of the local business environment.
It is paying special attention to improving its work efficiency and public services so that it becomes more convenient for business operators to deal with matters affairs in which the government has a role.
It has customized some favorable policies in terms of taxation, housing, etc. to attract talents to Luohu from around the world.
These efforts are continuously paying off. In the first three quarters this year, Luohu saw 247 new enterprises registered each with a registration capital above 50 million yuan ($7.1 million); the district has attracted 58 projects that generate about 44.37 billion yuan of operational revenue, and 2.52 billion yuan in tax revenue.
The district has also attracted 30 licensed financial agencies this year, which are expected to inject great vitality to the financial sector.
