Shenzhen flower show to bloom

The 22nd Shenzhen Chinese Rose Show will be held from Jan.22 to Feb.8 in the People's Park, according to the Shenzhen Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau.
Themed "romantic eternity", the annual show this year will exhibit more than 300 categories of Chinese roses in four theme gardens within the park.
Unlike before, the flower show this year will extend its exhibition space to the Huayang block of Renmin South Road for the first time.
The event was first held in 1998, making it the flower show with the longest history in Shenzhen.
The flower show is jointly hosted by the Shenzhen Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau, the Luohu district government, the Shenzhen Park Administrative Center and the Luohu Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau.
On the sidelines of the flower show, some related activities, such as instrumental performances and an exhibition of the art of flower arrangement and a tea art performance, will be organized, which is another tradition of the event.
Visitors can also enjoy snacks and tea with flowers as their ingredients.
According to the organizers, the neighboring business zones and public sites will also have flowers arranged to jointly create a festive atmosphere in the city.
