In order to facilitate companies to resume production, Beijing's Huairou district is using a health-rating app to track the movements of workers during the outbreak.
To enforce the new health code system, the district government now requires apartment complexes, companies, supermarkets, neighborhoods, villages and public facilities to check individuals' health codes before letting them in.
Those preparing to return to work should register on the system by filling in their personal information as well as health status. This information only needs to be input once and will be compared to data from the National Health Commission, after which the system will assign residents one of three colored QR codes: red, yellow or green.
After having their QR code scanned and their body temperature checked, workers will then be allowed to enter the company, thereby decreasing the risk of infections and increasing the efficiency of the epidemic control work.
