Luohu holds meeting on deepening reform

The Luohu Committee of the Communist Party of China held a conference on Oct. 16, which was presided over by Luohu Party chief Luo Yude. Liu Zhiyong, head of the Luohu district government, Xiong Guowei, chair of the Standing Committee of the District's People's Congress, and Wu Yuzhong, chair of the District's People's Political Consultative Conference, spoke at the meeting.

The meeting pointed out all relevant departments must seize opportunities to deepen reform, and expand their opening-up, so as to make a bigger contribution to Luohu.

The meeting emphasized that Luohu should focus on the development of the financial industry, the business service industry, strategic emerging industries, and commerce, which are its four main industries, as well as the creative cultural industry and the jewelry industry, two of its characteristic industries; Luohu should continuously optimize its business environment, government services and living environment to improve its core competitiveness; Luohu should accelerate the rollout of the first part of its authorization plan for comprehensive reforms and try to make breakthroughs firstly in allowing overseas professionals to practice in Luohu; Luohu should deepen its reform of the business environment so as to encourage enterprises and talents to settle there; Luohu should pay more attention to building its high-level Shenzhen-Hong Kong port economic belt, financial opening-up pilot zone and international consumption center.
