Luohu continues to promote tech innovation

Luohu unveiled various new technologies and pro-innovation policies in its biweekly news conference on Nov. 6.


The news conference was jointly hosted by the district's technology innovation bureau, China-Europe Fintech Innovation Lab, Shenzhen Aoto Electronics, Shenzhen Clear Medical Facility Company, and Shenzhen Shenshui Water Resources Consulting Company.


Shi Xingzhong, chief of the Luohu Technology Innovation Bureau, said that 21 Luohu-based enterprises will take part in the Nov. 11-15 22nd China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen, and a series of new technologies and products developed in Luohu will be showcased at the fair.


Over the past five years, Luohu has built the Dawutong Emerging Industrial Belt, covering an area of 12 square kilometers, 10 industrial parks, five start-up incubators, and 19 pro-innovation platforms. The district has also initiated the construction of the Qingshuihe zone that will provide 340,000 square meters of land for industrial projects.


Thanks to these efforts, the number of national-level high-tech enterprises in Luohu has increased from 150 in 2016 to 400 in 2020.


Shi said Luohu will unswervingly improve its business environment and government services, accelerate the construction of its 5G network and further cooperate with Hong Kong and Macao to promote innovation.
