Northwestern Beijing's Yanqing district launched policy support for its volunteer work on Dec. 4, with an aim to provide financial assistance and lift volunteering service and management.

Yanqing has so far set up 69 volunteer service units, whereby 22,000 volunteers have conducted 400 volunteering activities including befriending elderly, providing lectures and helping trash classification.

As one of the venues for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Yanqing will enhance its volunteer work to better embrace the upcoming sports event. It’s estimated that a total of 2,700 volunteers will serve the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
