On the morning of Nov. 10, Huang Shengwen, deputy secretary of the Luohu District Committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Luohu District Committee, led a team to the Guiyuan sub-district office to monitor the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control work in the neighborhoods within its jurisdiction and organized an on-site meeting with local civil servants.

Party working committee secretaries of other sub-district offices in Luohu, as well as those in charge of the government departments related to epidemic prevention and control also took part in the meeting.

Huang and his team first visited the Xingfuli residential quarter of the Renminqiao community to inspect its closed-loop network, checkpoint system, home isolation management and other related work.

Later, all of the inspectors held a symposium at the Guiyuan sub-district office building. Liu Chuwen, secretary of the Party working committee of Guiyuan, delivered a speech on epidemic prevention and control work and experiences in Guiyuan's jurisdiction.

According to Liu, the sub-district office holds a zero-tolerance attitude towards the virus and construct a smart and efficient closed-loop model in the fight against the virus.

At the meeting, Huang affirmed the standardization, accountability, efficiency and effectiveness of Guiyuan’s epidemic response.

He pointed out that the local government should be familiar with the ins and outs of epidemic prevention and control, as well as the practical needs of local residents and key risk factors.

He urged the frontline civil servants working to faithfully fulfill their duties, properly engage with their key tasks, carefully conduct effective supervision and promptly deal with emergencies.

Huang instructed all sub-district offices to prioritize the management of traffic checkpoints, the health and safety of work staff at quarantine sites, the management of household quarantines and the use of health codes.
