Shanghai reported three new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases in the first 17 hours of Thursday, according to local health authority.

The cases have been transferred to the city's public health clinical center for treatment and are in stable condition, Wu Jinglei, director of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, told a press conference on Thursday.

All the three cases have been inoculated with two COVID-19 vaccine doses and visited the city of Suzhou in east China's Jiangsu Province from Nov. 19 to 21.

As of 5 p.m. Thursday, a total of 27 close contacts in Shanghai went into quarantine for medical observation.

Relevant departments are carrying out epidemiological investigations and tracing the source of the infections.
