So far, 21 public welfare activities of 18 social organizations have obtained funding from the bureau, benefiting people not only in Luohu but also in Shanwei, Guangdong province, and Xilin and Longlin counties in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region - three places that Luohu is earmarked to assist with poverty alleviation and rural vitalization.

The service scope of these activities includes services for the elderly, services for minors, relief and assistance, community governance, rural vitalization, the integrated development of Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao, the cultivation and development of communities and social organizations, and promoting steady economic growth.
