Beijing hosted a fair featuring the Grand Canal culture on Monday and Tuesday in Tongzhou district's "three temples and one tower" scenic spot, which opened to the public on Monday.

The fair, hosted by the Tongzhou Grand Canal Cultural and Tourism Scenic Spot, presented cultural products, performances, and snacks, and arranged various activities related to intangible cultural heritage and traditional clothing of the Han Chinese.

The scenic spot is one of northern China's largest old building clusters integrating architectural features of three religions, and serves as a vehicle for inheriting the Grand Canal culture, according to a person in charge of the district's culture and tourism bureau. The old buildings here have been renovated and become tourist-friendly. People can also learn about the buildings in immersive experience activities.

The fair set up games for tourists, including painting kites, guessing riddles, and taking photos with backdrops of scenes from ancient times.
