Authorities of the Tianfu New Area in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan province, has taken a set of measures to help enterprises reduce and exempt house rents, support college graduates to find jobs and improve services for enterprises.

As long as the qualified enterprises submit applications to the authorities to reduce or exempt their house rents, the applications can be processed and approved quickly to ensure they can enjoy the benefits of the policy.

The Tianfu New Area provides self-employed and entrepreneurship college students and graduates with free offices, public meeting rooms and internet access for the first five years after their graduation, who are also exempted to pay for utility bills and property management fees for two years at most.

In August, the policy saved relevant enterprises 2.67 million yuan ($374,100) in house rents, with the highest cut for individual enterprises of more than 200,000 yuan. It is estimated that 10 enterprises will benefit from the policy in September saving them 1.04 million yuan in house rents.

The authorities have opened green channels for college graduates to start their own businesses in the new area during the COVID-19 pandemic so as to help them save costs and time, and minimize the pandemic's influences on their business plans.
