Hu Yue, who was only 12 years old at the time, was buried under rubble and had to have her left leg amputated after being rescued. She soon found her passion in skateboarding one year later and has since become a veteran of the sport after more than 10 years of practice. In March 2022, Hu was invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympic Games.
