Wu Guanghui, vice manager of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China and a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress, made the announcement on the sidelines of the ongoing legislative sessions in Beijing.

The C919 is a 150-seat passenger jetliner designed for short- and medium-haul commercial use, Wu said.

"The plane has used state-of-the-art technologies in flight control and its power supply system, as well as advanced materials that help reduce resistance and improve security and comfort," he added.

The C919 jet successfully completed its maiden flight in Shanghai on May 5 last year.

In addition to the two airliners that are currently undergoing test flights, another four will be put through testing before the final delivery, Wu said.

The C919 currently has a total of 815 orders from 28 customers in China and other countries.
