LONDON, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- The British cycling team won the gold by breaking the men's team sprint world record at velodrome here on Thursday.

Britain beat France in the final to win the men's cycling track team sprint team gold medal. Led by Chris Hoy, the team rewrote men's team sprint cycling world record in 42.600 seconds.
