Defense Minister Liang Guanglie said Tuesday that Japan is attempting to negate the outcome of World War II by allowing its officials to visit the Yasukuni Shrine.

Liang made the remarks while meeting with Mieczyslaw Gocul, First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces.

Both Poland and China suffered disastrous losses during World War II, Liang said.

"However, Japan has never seriously self-reflected on its war crimes," Liang said, adding that some Japanese politicians have made multiple visits to the Yasukuni Shrine.

Liang also took time to praise the cooperation China and Poland have maintained, calling for closer military-to-military ties and joint efforts to safeguard regional and world peace.

Gocul said the Polish side attaches great importance to its traditional friendship with China and stands ready to boost cooperation between both countries and their militaries. Endi
