Communist Party of China (CPC) leader Xi Jinping on Friday called on Party members to enhance their ability to handle new problems and challenges through study and practice.

How to get a proper understanding of and appropriately handle new situations and problems arising in the country's development are important subjects faced by the entire Party, said Xi, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

The only way to achieve the goal is to enhance our capabilities through study, he said during a gathering held to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee.
