China's former procurator-general Liu Fuzhi passes away

Liu Fuzhi, China's former top procurator, died of illness on Sunday in Beijing, according to a statement from the central authorities of the Communist Party of China.

Liu, 96, is commended as an extraordinary Party member, a loyal communist and revolutionary, and an outstanding leader in the country's political and legal work.

Liu worked as procurator-general of the Supreme People's Procuratorate from 1988 to 1993. Endi
