Chang'e-3 starts moon landing

China's lunar probe Chang'e-3 has started soft-landing on the moon as it began decelerating from 15 km above the lunar surface, space authorities said on Saturday.

The entire process of soft-landing will last 12 minutes and will be performed by the probe itself, with "practically zero" chance of manual intervention being required, according to sources in charge of the mission. Endi
