China Aircraft Leasing Company (CALC) on Tuesday confirmed an order for 100 Airbus A320 aircraft, Airbus China said in a statement.

The order comprises 74 A320neo, 16 A320ceo and 10 A321ceo. CALC has now 140 of the A320 family awaiting delivery.

"Adding these A320 aircraft, including the latest generation A320neo to our portfolio, means we can fully meet all our customers' requirements in terms of low fuel burn, high reliability and unbeatable comfort," said Mike Poon, CEO and executive director of CALC.

John Leahy, Airbus chief operating officer, said the order demonstrated continuing strong market demand for Airbus single-aisle aircraft.

The A320 family has seen more than 11,000 orders to date with over 6,300 aircraft delivered. Endi
