China suggested Friday that better anti-terrorism cooperation with the international community according to UN resolutions was a growing necessity.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying was responding to a question about reports that over 300 Chinese nationals have joined Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria and Iraq using Malaysia as transit point.

According to media report, Malaysian Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the information was relayed to him by China's vice minister of public security.

Resolution 2178, adopted unanimously by the UN Security Council on Sept. 24 of 2014, calls for all countries to address the threat of foreign terrorists, including preventing suspected terrorists from entering or transiting their territories. Endi
