Chairman Mao Zedong's photographer dies

Lyu Houmin, the full-time photographer of Mao Zedong, founder of New China, died in Beijing on Monday morning.

Born on September 1928 in Heilongjiang Province, Lyu got his job as a photographer working for state leaders including Mao and Premier Zhou Enlai in January 1950.

Some of Lyu's most famous photos showed Mao was in his study room and Mao playing pingpong.

Lyu was a counselor of the China Photographers Association. Endi
