An Australian state government will allow citizens to pay their bills, such a driver's licence, on their smartphones through a special tap-and-pay app, the authorities said Tuesday.

The New South Wales (NSW) government said Service NSW will be among the first government agencies in Australia to accept newer payment systems such as PayPal, Master Pass, Visa Checkout and Apple Pay.

"This solution will reduce duplication of payments infrastructure, streamline payment processes and deliver value for money." Endi
