Senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Zhao Leji met here Tuesday with a delegation from the ruling party of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) headed by secretary general Henri Mova Sakanyi.

Zhao, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee Organization Department, said China has always attached great importance to the friendly ties with the DRC, a key African country.

The two countries have firmly supported and safeguarded each other's core interests with productive cooperation in various fields, said Zhao.

He called on the CPC and the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy of the DRC to further exchange experience of political governance so as to boost the development of the relations between the two parties and the two countries.

Mova Sakanyi said the DRC is willing to enhance cooperation with China in order to contribute to bilateral ties. Endi
