Senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Zhao Leji met here on Monday with a delegation from Colombian political parties.

As developing countries, China-Colombia cooperation is in accordance with the fundamental interest of the two countries and their people, said Zhao, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee Organization Department.

Zhao said CPC attaches importance to ties with major political parties in Colombia and is willing to advance party-to-party communication with them.

Roy Barreras, a leader of the Social Party of National Unity of Colombia, praised China's tremendous achievements in economic development and expressed his willingness to strengthen bilateral exchange and cooperation. Endi
